Can you believe we’re already a quarter of the way into the year?!
Somehow it’s almost May, and while I’m still wondering where those first few months went, I do love this time of year.
Spring just brings that Fresh Start energy. The perfect excuse to declutter, refresh, and breathe new life into everything… including your brand.
Let me be honest for a sec…
I knew my brand needed a refresh months ago. But between client work, bookkeeping (ugh), and approximately 672 other to-dos, I just kept putting it off.
Sound familiar?
Last week, I finally sat down and had a proper look at things… and oh dear:
- My visuals were a bit all over the place
- My messaging wasn’t super clear
- And honestly? I had outgrown parts of my brand but hadn’t updated anything to reflect that
So I’ve decided April/May is brand refresh month. And if you’re feeling even slightly off about how your brand looks, feels, or performs, I’d love for you to join me.



So… Why Does a Brand Refresh Even Matter?
Because when your brand isn’t quite right (even if you can’t fully articulate why) … it shows.
You hesitate to post.

1, Check Your Brand Consistency
Your brand should feel cohesive… like it all belongs to you.
Ask yourself:
- Do your colors, fonts, and photos match across your website, social posts, and emails?
- Does someone instantly recognise your brand when they land on your content?
If not, it’s time for a little visual tidy-up. Start with your brand color palette, lock in a couple of fonts you love, and begin curating a gallery of images that feel aligned.
2, Refine your message
It’s not just about pretty visuals. Your brand is how you make people feel.
Ask yourself:
- Is your messaging clear?
- Does it speak to your dream client’s struggles, desires, and goals?
- Would someone land on your website or profile and think: “YES. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for”?
If not, it’s time to sharpen your message and make sure it’s you, amplified.


3, Curate Your Brand Photos & Visuals
You’ve heard this before, but it’s true, your photos say everything before you even say a word.
And they should say things like:
- I’m approachable but seriously good at what I do
- I’m creative and strategic
- I’m someone you trust — and want to work with
Ask yourself:
- Are your current brand photos on-brand, fresh, and high-quality?
- Do they show your face and your energy?
- Are they helping you stand out… or blend in?


If your visuals feel stale or mismatched, now’s the perfect time to upgrade. A few scroll-stopping, personality-packed photos can change the game.
