Best Locations for Your Prague Brand Photoshoot: 8 Ideas to Get You Started

Your choice of location is a crucial element in telling your brand story. Whether it’s your workspace,  bright gym, cozy coffee shop a vibrant urban setting, or a serene natural backdrop, ensure that you choose a spot that suits your brand and helps tell your story (ie it harmonizes with the narrative you wish to convey).

Basically, gives the right vibe and complements the story you are trying to tell. The location will also depend on the type of business you’re in and how photogenic your usual setup is.

Easy way to come up with a good place is to think about what locations will captivate your ideal client and tell your story. Would a classy 5 star luxury hotel or a nice minimal cafe align more with the lifestyle your ICA is seeking. If you need help with your ICA this and this article might help.

Extra tip is if you can find places that match your brand colors. Take your audience on a storytelling journey and share a sneak peak behind the scenes of a day in your life. An the trick here is storytelling. A mix of professional photos, headshots, and lifestyle imagery creates a well-rounded brand shoot so the locations should be suitable for all. And not every photo has to be polished and perfect. In fact you need more ‘realistic’ imperfect photos so the overall feel and story is more believable.

Pro tip: Always work with your brand photographer on selecting the location. This should be carefully selected based on your mood board and the type of photos you are after. Photography is about Light, so location can totally make or break your shoot.

Choose a Location that Makes Sense for you

  • Select a location that aligns with your brand story and your vibe
  • Practical considerations, such as lighting conditions and accessibility, should not be overlooked.
  • So the most important step is to think about what locations will captivate your ideal client and tell your story.

Now, let’s dive into some killer location ideas in Prague!

1, Your Business/Work Location

If you have a physical space where clients visit, this is a goldmine. It lets potential customers get a feel for your atmosphere and unique features. For instance, if you run a chic beauty salon or a stylish pilates studio, shooting there showcases your decor and the experience you offer. A retail store? Show off that inviting layout. Your workshop where you create all your beautiful creations – perfect.

2, Your Client’s Location

Work directly with clients at their places? Perfect! If you’re a pilates instructor doing home sessions, using a client’s beautiful home for the shoot can work wonders. Do you usually meet with your coaching clients at their offices – ask one of them if you could use the space (bonus they can even be your model for 10 minutes) – you can alway offer them a free session as a thank you. Home designers can consider featuring a stunning home you’ve worked on. It adds authenticity and context to your brand.

3, Your Home

Yes, your home can be a fantastic shoot location. Whether it’s your cosy office or another aesthetically pleasing space, it can add a personal touch. Make sure your decor aligns with your brand’s look and there’s plenty of natural light. Simultaneously, if you have a nice office or workspace set up at home, this will work well. And no, you don’t need your whole home to feel like a 5 star luxury hotel. Just a few carefully set up and styled spots will do the trick.

4, Hired Spaces or Studios

Sometimes, renting a space that is really on brand is the way to go for my clients. Especially if you are aiming at higher end clients. From photography studios to Airbnb properties, there are plenty of options. Just ensure the spot aligns with your brand’s aesthetic.  Just remember, that of course, there might be rental fees involved.

Studio – These spaces are often designed with brand photoshoots in mind, offering a variety of settings to play with.

Airbnb – Some places are just beautiful, and on brand. Reach out to some of these – some even market themselves as photoshoot-friendly locations.

5, Cafes/Hotels/WeWork Places

A cafe or a hotel with a stylish interior can add a relaxed, personal touch to your shoot. And Prague is not short on these. Whether it’s modern or vintage, zen like or trendy, choose one that matches your brand’s feel. Just make sure to get permission from the owner, as cafes and hotels are private spaces and you’ll need the go-ahead for a professional shoot.

Also bear in mind that places further from the centre will be quieter, especially between 2 – 5 o’clock in the afternoon.

6, Your Friends and Family

We all have that one friend or family member who just has the picture perfect home. This can be a major perk. Not only will you feel more comfortable and relaxed, but it’s also free and relatively easy to arrange. And I’m sure no one will say no to a treat of a nice dinner as a thank you.

7, Urban, Historical and Local Areas

Prague’s city streets can add an interesting backdrop to your photos. Whether you want to highlight your local roots or project a cosmopolitan vibe, urban settings can be versatile and dynamic. Think cool alleyways, iconic landmarks, or bustling markets.

Roof gardens might give a nice vantage point to showcase Prague in the backdrop (without fighting the crowds).

Alternatively nice historical settings somewhere quieter might be a nice backdrop (Invalidovna, St Agnes Monastery, or Strahov).

8, Outdoor nature locations (ie parks, gardens in the city)

Want to project relaxation and natural beauty? One of the parks or gardens might be a good fit. Or a calm setting by the river, a small lake or forest will clearly communicate your serene vibe. Just plan for the best lighting—early morning or late afternoon works best—and be ready to deal with potential crowds and weather conditions.
