Hey there, fabulous entrepreneurs! Summer is here (yay) and with that many of you solopreneurs and creative artists are planning your brand photoshoots in Prague. And if you’re reading this, chances are you’re probably on the hunt for the perfect backdrop to make your brand and business photos shine. Well, you’re in luck because as I’m going through this exercise with many of my clients, I thought I might as well help you and write a little blog post about it.
So if you are ready to elevate your brand’s visual game, a brand photoshoot in Prague is just the ticket. But where exactly should you shoot to capture the essence of your business? Let’s break it down.
Prague is without a doubt a city teeming with stunning locations that can take your photos from ordinary to extraordinary. As a brand and business photographer in Prague, I’ve scouted some of the best spots that can perfectly match your brand’s vibe and message. Let’s dive into how you can choose the best locations for your photoshoot.

Understanding Your Brand Identity
First things first though. Let’s talk about your brand identity. This is the one important step that you can not miss if you want on brand photos that speak directly to your ideal clients. Before you start picking out locations, it’s crucial to understand what your brand stands for, what you are all about and who your dream client is. Are you modern and edgy, or do you have a classic, timeless feel? Or a simple calming feel is your thing.
If you are a yoga instructor, a serene space like a high end yoga studio, your home or even a tranquil nature location with soft light and natural settings might be the perfect place.
Are you a personal stylist and shopper for high flying executives and entrepreneurs? Chic, sleek, luxury trendy boutiques and a few sleek modern urban locations might be on brand.
Understanding your brand’s aesthetics will help you choose locations that align with your overall look and feel. So the most important step is to think about what locations will captivate your ideal client and tell your story.
Tailoring Locations to Your Business Needs
Different businesses have different needs. High energy businesses and products might benefit from vibrant, bustling backgrounds, while more heart-centred service-based businesses might need serene, focused environments.
And of course, please bear in mind what you do and the requirements. If you are a food blogger for example, you will ideally need a space with a kitchen so you can showcase your expertise and you in action.

For instance, one of my clients, a mentor and female entrepreneur coach, wanted her photos to exude calm and peace. We chose various natural settings, as well as her serene office/workspace, and the results were exactly what she envisioned – serene and inviting.
Lastly, please consider your photography business needs – Website vs content needs. Are the photos for your overall brand refresh and will be on your website and blogs, or primarily for your social media content for upcoming events or promotions.

Location aligned to you – Storytelling images that create the know like trust factor
Who you Are: Brand photos are a mixture of various photos that tell your brand story – headshots, lifestyle photos, storytelling photos behind the scenes. These need to showcase not only what you do, but also who you are as a person, what you are like, what you love and what you stand for. To create the know, like, trust factor, this is a necessity. The locations will need to align to this also – do you love doing yoga, cooking or exploring historical buildings in your spare time? It will be great to create photos showcasing this – and again, location will play a key role here.
What to Consider for Your Perfect Location
- Aesthetic Appeal: Does the location vibe with your brand and your brand story? Is the place aspirational and aligned with your dream client. If your ideal client loves luxury and design, your spot should scream sophistication. An unappealing location just won’t cut it. Choosing a spot that mirrors your brand’s essence is key. Selling nature-related products? Think parks or gardens. Offering luxury services? Go for a posh home or upscale venue.
- General Aesthetic: Consider your brand colours, general vibe and mood (the location should be aligned) so for example if you use soft natural colours, a super luxury opulent vibrant hotel lobby is not going to be a good fit
- Layout and Variety: Does the space offer a mix of settings? This is crucial for capturing diverse shots. Locations should also be aligned to what you do and love
- Natural Light: Light is everything! Locations with plenty of windows and natural light will make your photos pop. Open Bright spaces with a lot of ligth is best.
- Time and Place: Some public locations might be very busy at specific times, so you might have to work around that. Weekdays are best to avoid crowd
- Distance – if you want to take photos at a few different locations, consider their proximity to each other. Ideally, they will be close by and photoshoots at both locations can happen at the same time. If they are further apart, additional time (or indeed more photoshoots) might be required.
- Plan Ahead – some locations might have to give you permission, so start early so you have plenty of time for any correspondence
- Aways work with your brand photographer on selecting the location. This should be carefully selected based on your mood board and the type of photos you are after. Photography is about Light, so location can totally make or break your shoot.

Understanding your brand’s aesthetics will help you choose locations that align with your overall look and feel. So the most important step is to think about what locations will captivate your ideal client and tell your story.

Wrapping Up
Consider your day-to-day work and how you want to display it. A mix of professional photos, headshots, and lifestyle imagery creates a well-rounded brand shoot so the locations should be suitable for all.
